Ana Maria Esteves BComm MBA PhD GAICD
Led by Dr Ana Maria Esteves, Community Insights comprises a network of multi-disciplinary specialist associates.
Ana Maria founded Community Insights in 2001 and has worked with mining, oil and gas companies such as Anglo American, BHP Billiton, BG, Rio Tinto and Shell, in diverse country contexts such as Mozambique, South Africa, Peru, Chile, Australia, Hong Kong and Iran. She is currently based in The Netherlands.
Ana Maria studied for an undergraduate economics degree in South Africa and holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School. She has a graduate diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Her PhD from Melbourne University thesis examined corporates in the extractives sector as potential agents for social development. The research led to management decision tools being built and adaptations to social impact assessment recommended in order to ensure value is created for both business and affected communities.
